Hopping cat lost in England
A continental kitty found himself lost in England after somehow crossing the channel from France.
Tommy, a seven-year-old ginger cat, was picked up by the RSPCA this week after he was spotted near a canal.
His microchip shows he is from Normandy – 250 miles from Cosgrove, Northants, where he turned up.
His owner can’t be traced as there is no phone number linked to the chip, so Tommy faces six months’ quarantine before he can be re-housed.
The RSPCA’s Sue Taft said: “If only cats could talk.”
